Education
Naturopathic doctors are trained at accredited colleges or universities. We attend a four to five year, graduate-level, residential naturopathic medical program. Naturopathic physicians must take professional board exams to be licensed to work in the field.
ND's are educated in all the same Sciences as a Medical Doctor, but in addition, we study:
- clinical nutrition
- botanical medicine
- vitamin /mineral supplementation
- homeopathic medicine
- genetics
- psychology
- physical medicine
- counseling
We focus on disease prevention and optimizing wellness through the least invasive and most effective therapies for the individual.
